Paul Cooke

Paul Cooke is the current Vice President at Football Association of Ireland. Prior to this, they were the Principal at 3 Ships Consulting, where they were responsible for driving transformational and effective change across a number of sectors including Digital, Media, Technology and Logistics. Paul has provided professional advice across a range of disciplines including Finance, Human Resources, Sales Strategies and Marketing to small business owners. Paul has extensive experience supporting start-up companies.

From 1988 to 2012, Paul was the Managing Director at Independent Star Limited, a joint venture company between Independent News & Media Plc and Northern and Shell Plc which published the Star Newspaper in the Republic of Ireland. Under their leadership, the company increased profits by a multiple of pre-appointment level, established and maintained The Star's position as market leader in the tabloid sector despite a significant price premium over its rivals, and grew the company's share of newspapers advertising revenues. In 2011, the company won numerous awards including Newspaper of the year, Advertising Sales Team of the Year and Marketing through Irish Award. Paul built a highly motivated team with a particular emphasis based on generation of an entrepreneurial culture.

Paul Cooke did their ACA training contract with PriceWaterhouseCoopers and then took the ACA Commencement Course in Accountancy at Waterford Institute of Technology. Paul has also completed their Leaving Certificate at De La Salle College, Waterford.
