Jonathan Houghton

Chief Medical Officer at Football Association of Wales

Jonathan Houghton has extensive experience in the field of sports medicine and rheumatology. Jonathan served as a Consultant at Fortius Clinic starting in 2016. Prior to that, they held the role of Chief Medical Officer at the Football Association of Wales from 2013. Jonathan also worked as a Honorary Senior Lecturer at UWIC from 2009 to 2017. Additionally, they have experience as a Medical Director and Consultant Rheumatologist at London Sports Orthopaedics from 2011 to 2016, and as a Consultant Rheumatologist and Sports Physician at DMRC Headley Court from 2006 to 2013.

Jonathan Houghton attended Comberton Village College from 1983 to 1988. Jonathan then pursued their medical degree at St Marys Hospital Medical School from 1990 to 1996, graduating with an MBBS in the field of study.
