Katie de Vries

Katie De Vries is an experienced performing arts educator currently serving as the Drama Department Chair at The Foote School since June 2021, where responsibilities include directing, choreographing, and teaching performing arts for grades K-9. Prior to this role, Katie held positions as Director/Choreographer and Performing Arts Educator at St. Hilda's & St. Hugh's School from 2011 to June 2021, and as a Teaching Artist with LeAp - Learning through an Expanded Arts Program from 2008 to 2011. Katie began a career in arts education as an Acting Teacher at The Dalton School from 2006 to 2008. Academically, Katie holds a Master of Arts in Performing Arts from American University and a Bachelor of Arts in Communications and Theater from Calvin University.
