Justice Hamilton has been working in the education field since February 2011, with experience as an adjunct instructor, part-time instructor, and assistant professor of history. Hamilton holds a Doctor of Philosophy in Africology & African American Studies from Temple University Graduate School, as well as a Master of Arts in Africana Studies from the University at Albany, SUNY, and a Bachelor of Arts in Africana Studies from San Francisco State University.
