Mark Johnson

Mark Johnson M.A. has a diverse work experience ranging from teaching physical education classes to coaching soccer teams. Mark has worked as a Kinesiology Instructor at De Anza College since 2017, where they teach various classes in the physical education department. Mark has also served as the Head Coach at Foothill-De Anza Community College District since 2014, overseeing the technical development of the DeAnza College Intercollegiate Team and teaching a PE class involving soccer-specific training and skills.

In addition, Mark has held the position of Head Coach at DE ANZA FORCE SOCCER CLUB INC since 2020, focusing on the development of players and team performance. Mark has served as the U18 and U16 Academy Head Coach at Santa Cruz County Breakers from 2015 to 2017, leading and mentoring young soccer players.

Prior to their involvement in the sports industry, Mark worked as a Mechanical Engineer at Orbex Group from 2013 to 2015, where they created Solidworks models for the website and tested custom configurations of servo motors and other products. Mark also has coaching experience as the Head Coach of DeAnza Force 95 Blue from 2013 to 2015 and as the Director of Coaching at DeAnza Force Soccer Club and Tri Valley Soccer Club, where they oversaw the training and development of goalkeepers.

Mark's experience in coaching extends to their time as an Associate Head Coach at DeAnza College from 2013 to 2014, where they were responsible for the technical development of the intercollegiate team and local recruiting efforts. Mark has also worked as the Head Coach of DeAnza Force 94 Blue from 2011 to 2013, focusing on the physical, technical, tactical, and psychological development of high school and college-aged athletes.

Mark Johnson M.A. began their education journey in 1997 at Santa Clara University, where they pursued a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering. Mark studied there until 2001. In 2013, Mark attended De Anza College, where they made progress towards a Technical Certification in CAD/CADD Drafting and/or Design Technology/Technician. Later, in 2016, they enrolled at Fresno Pacific University and obtained a Masters in Kinesiology, specializing in Physical Education Teaching and Coaching in 2017.
