Sonya Green

Sonya Green is currently an Emergency Medical Technician and Health Promotions Assistant at Macalester College, working since August 2022 to address student health needs through equity-focused initiatives. Additionally, Sonya serves as Co-President of both the Health Professions Student Coalition and the Macalester College Chapter of Friends of Médecins Sans Frontières, facilitating educational events and fundraising efforts in the medical field. Previously, Sonya held the position of Pool Manager at Foothills Park & Recreation District, managing staff training and safety protocols, and instructed lifeguarding courses, certifying over 200 individuals. Sonya's recent experience also includes working as an Emergency Medical Technician at Elitch Gardens Theme & Water Park in Denver. Educational background includes ongoing studies in Pre-Medicine at Macalester College and a prior International Baccalaureate Diploma from Lakewood High School.
