Garnett Smoot

Garnett Smoot has extensive experience in various roles within aquatic management and engineering. Since July 2014, Garnett has served as a Swim Instructor for the YMCA of Central Maryland while also working as a Pool Manager for DRD Pool Management, Inc. since March 2018. Prior experience includes a position as a Valet Attendant with MJ VALET, LLC for a brief period in 2018 and serving as a Nuclear Engineer in the US Navy from October 2014 to October 2017, where responsibilities included maintenance of the propulsion plant. Garnett’s early career also involved working as a Lifeguard at Meritt Athletics Club in 2014. Garnett holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical and Electronics Engineering from Morgan State University, obtained between 2018 and 2022.
