Ophir Gilad

Ophir Gilad is an experienced professional with a strong background in education, economic empowerment, and social justice advocacy. Currently serving as the Economic Empowerment Program Manager at Footsteps, Inc., since August 2021, Ophir specializes in coaching, programming, and scholarship management. Previous roles include Educational Equity Youth Coordinator at OutFront Minnesota, where Ophir developed strategies and trainings to support LGBTQ+ youth, and Hebrew Teacher at Mount Zion Synagogue, creating engaging curricula. Ophir's internship experiences span organizations focused on immigration reform, human rights, and youth policy, demonstrating a commitment to community service and advocacy. Educational credentials include a Bachelor’s degree in Political Science and International Studies from Macalester College and participation in the Post Genocide Restoration and Peacebuilding Program in Rwanda.
