Since 1979, Forbes Hospitality has been at the epicenter of historic preservation and hospitality in Detroit’s theatre district. With its trio of iconic venues — Gem Theatre, Colony Club, and Elwood Bar & Grill — among other historic properties managed by Forbes Management, the family-owned firms have sought to protect Detroit’s unique architectural profile while simultaneously vivifying the city’s social and cultural scene.
