Varun S. is a seasoned professional with extensive experience in product and technology leadership, currently serving as the Chief Product & Technology Officer at Daily since October 2021, focusing on enhancing developer efficiency and call reliability. In addition to this role, Varun has provided advisory services to startups since August 2018 and has contributed to multimedia and networking standards through the IETF and W3C since 2008. Formerly a Founder and CEO of callstats.io, which was acquired by 8x8, Varun successfully scaled the business and raised significant funding. Varun holds a Ph.D. in Multimedia Networks from Aalto University, alongside Master's and Bachelor's degrees in Communications Engineering and Telecommunication, respectively.
