Sean P. Murphy

Sean P. Murphy is an accomplished hospitality professional with extensive experience in luxury hotel management. Currently serving as General Manager at The Bower Coronado since November 2024, Sean is involved in the opening preparations for the establishment. As a member of the Forbes Travel Guide Standards Advisory Committee since January 2022, contributions are made to ensure that Star Rating standards align with guest expectations. Previously, Sean held the position of Director of Rooms at The Inn at Mattei's Tavern, where recognition was achieved from Architectural Digest in 2023 for the hotel’s debut. As General Manager of Hotel Esencia from August 2020 to July 2023, Sean led the hotel to be named #19 in the World's Best Hotels 2023 and attained the Forbes Travel Guide Five-Star rating. Sean's career at The Ritz-Carlton Hotel Company included various managerial roles, with a strong focus on guest satisfaction and engagement. Sean holds a Bachelor of Science in Communication from Arizona State University.
