Sarah Ashton

Sarah Ashton is a seasoned professional with extensive experience in community development and international consulting. As the Founding Board President of The Cambridge Valley Community Development and Preservation Partnership, Inc. since October 2001, Sarah has demonstrated leadership and commitment to local initiatives. Additionally, Sarah has been affiliated with the Ford Foundation as a consultant since January 1993, contributing expertise as a Regional Consultant for Africa and Middle East Programs. Previous roles include Project Manager/Consultant at The Africa America Institute and various positions at Labat-Anderson Incorporated, where responsibilities included supporting USAID's Africa Human Resources Development Assistance Project. Early career experience includes teaching at Sirisia Secondary School in Kenya. Sarah holds three advanced degrees: an MA in International Affairs from Columbia University's School of International and Public Affairs, an MA in Education from Teachers College at Columbia University, and a BA in History from Colgate University.
