Sarita Gupta

Vice President, US Programs at Ford Foundation

Sarita Gupta is the Vice President of US Programs at the Ford Foundation. Sarita has dedicated their career to fighting for social and economic justice, and has a long history of leadership in the non-profit sector.

Gupta began their career as the Executive Director of Chicago Jobs With Justice, a grassroots organization that fights for workers' rights. Sarita then became the President of USSA, a national organization that advocates for students' rights. After their time at USSA, Gupta went on to co-found Caring Across Generations, a non-profit that works to improve the lives of older adults and caregivers.

Most recently, Gupta has been working on the Future of Work(ers) initiative at the Ford Foundation. Through this initiative, they have been working to ensure that all workers have the opportunity to thrive in an increasingly automated economy.

Sarita Gupta is a Women's Health and Society major at Mount Holyoke College. Sarita plans to pursue a career in biology.
