Bence Cserna

Bence Cserna currently serves as the Head of Autonomy Software Architecture at Ford Motor Company since July 2023. Prior to this role, Bence held various positions at Motional from July 2019 to August 2023, including Principal Research Scientist and Team Lead, as well as Sr. Research Scientist and Research Scientist. A brief internship as an AI Research Scientist Intern was completed at Lyft in 2018, while autonomous vehicle research was undertaken during an internship at nuTonomy in 2017. Bence was also a Research Assistant at the University of New Hampshire from August 2013 to May 2017 and served as a Software Engineer and Team Lead at Ericsson between September 2010 and August 2013. Educational qualifications include a PhD in Computer Science from the University of New Hampshire, obtained in 2019, an MSc with Highest Honors from Budapest University of Technology and Economics in 2013, and a BSc in Computer and Information Science from the same institution in 2011. Additional educational experiences include studies at the Aquincum Institute of Technology and the University of New Hampshire.
