Ian R. Foston

Ian Foston is an accomplished engineering and technology leader with extensive experience in the automotive industry. Currently serving as the Engineering & Technology Development Leader (Assistant General Manager) at Ford Otosan since January 2023, Ian is a key member of the Executive Leadership Team, representing the Product Creation team. Prior to this role, Ian held various senior positions at Ford Motor Company, including Vehicle Program Director and Chief Platform Engineer, where responsibilities included managing the delivery of multiple vehicle programs and leading cross-functional teams. Ian's career spans notable roles in leading vehicle projects at Qoros Auto, Jaguar Land Rover, and Ford, showcasing expertise in program management, vehicle engineering, and platform development. Ian holds an MSc in Quality Management from Nottingham Trent University and a BSc (Hons) in Engineering Management from the University of Hertfordshire.
