Aristotle Papanikolaou

Co-founding Director, Orthodox Christian Studies Center at Fordham University

Aristotle "Telly" Papanikolaou serves as the Co-Founding Director of the Orthodox Christian Studies Center, the Archbishop Demetrios Chair in Orthodox Theology and Culture, and a Professor of Theology at Fordham University since September 2000. Additionally, Papanikolaou holds the title of McDonald Distinguished Senior Fellow and Senior Fellow at the Center for the Study of Law and Religion at Emory University since April 2005. Previously, Papanikolaou was an Assistant Professor of Theology and Ethics at Hellenic College/Holy Cross Greek Orthodox School of Theology from September 1999 to July 2000. Papanikolaou completed a PhD in Theology at the University of Chicago (1991-1998), earned an MDiv in Theology from Hellenic College Holy Cross (1988-1991), and obtained a BA in Theology from Fordham University (1984-1988).
