Mathew Tams

Mathew Tams has a diverse work experience in the field of data management and security. Mathew began their career as a Database Administrator at The Hartford in 1995 and worked there until 1998. Mathew then joined St. John's University as the Manager of Database Management from 1998 to 2006. During this time, they also served as an Adjunct Assistant Professor from 2002 onwards. In 2006, Mathew joined Fordham University as the Director of Database Management. Mathew held this position until 2015 when they transitioned to the role of Director of Application Security. In 2022, they assumed the position of Director of Application and System Security at Fordham University.

Mathew Tams earned a Master of Science (MS) degree in Computer Applications from the University of Kerala, India, from 1987 to 1990. Prior to that, they obtained a Master of Arts (MA) degree in Economics from the same university, between 1985 and 1987. Additionally, they have a certification in (ISC)2 Security CISSP (ISC2-CISSP) from (ISC)².
