Norton Kaplan

Norton Kaplan, a 40-year veteran in the high technology business manages Foresight's strategic growth and operations as President & COO. “Quality, value creation, creativity, respect, and growth are my guiding principles in managing the staff at Foresight and serving the customers.” At Foresight, Mr. Kaplan has been a program manager for numerous US federal and state agency programs (DOE, NIH, EPA, NASA, etc.), university initiatives, and company projects. Prior to joining Foresight, he was an R&D and a sales manager in the global automation industry for companies such as Nypro. He developed industrial robotics and automation solutions for manufacturers serving aerospace, medical device, automotive, telecommunication, consumer products, and other technology-based industries. His products include precision assembly,WD-40 integrated aerosol nozzle and tube; primary packaging, Clorox wipes container lid; electronic assembly – engine control module for a major automotive manufacturer; and process development – insert molding. Industrial products brought to market included the first embedded PC-controlled servo robots for the plastics industry and the highest performing part-handling robots of the time. He holds a US patent. He is a frequent speaker at conferences and meetings, including the National SBIR Conferences, and is a proposal reviewer for the US Department of Energy, the NY State SUNY Research Foundation, and others.
