John Fritchey, PCNSE has worked in the cybersecurity field since 2014. John began their career as a Data Center Operator and Support Specialist at H&R Block, where they were responsible for monitoring servers and applications, validating alarms, and engaging fix agents when needed. John also facilitated teams of engineers to investigate and resolve major issues, as well as documented major outages. In 2019, they joined Optiv Inc as an Associate MSS TAC Engineer, where they provided troubleshooting advice for Palo Alto firewalls and investigated, planned, implemented, and tested firewall policy changes. Currently, they serve as a Security Engineer at Foresite Cybersecurity & Compliance, where they are the Technical Account Manager and primary point of contact for several clients. John also troubleshoots issues primarily for Palo Alto firewalls and conducts Best Practice Assessments, recommending and implementing changes to firewall configuration.
