Simone Stevens

Simone Stevens is a Carbon Analyst at Forest Carbon Works, focusing on spatial and data analyses for forest carbon offset project development. Prior to this, Simone was a Student Researcher at Pontificia Universidad Católica de Chile, where Simone coauthored a paper on forest memory and loss of old growth forests. Simone has experience as a Timber Sales Prep Forester at the U.S. Forest Service and served as the Captain of the UC Berkeley Logging Sports Club. Simone has also been involved in various research projects related to forestry, fire management, and sustainability at UC Berkeley. Additionally, Simone has worked in legislative roles for the City of Berkeley and has been actively involved in environmental advocacy efforts, including promoting divestment from fossil fuels.
