M. Tamasha James Ed

Tamasha James, M. Ed has a diverse work experience in the field of education. Tamasha began in 2001 as the School Leader for William C. Abney Academy, where they successfully turned around a low-performing elementary school. Tamasha then moved on to The Leona Group in 2007, where they held various roles including University Partnerships and Career Development Coordinator, Core Team Leader, and Vice President for Academic Support. In these positions, they developed relationships with colleges and universities, supervised principals and school leaders, and provided professional development and training. In 2016, they worked as an Adjunct Instructor/Supervisor for the College of Urban Education at Davenport University. Currently, they are the Director at Forest Hills Public Schools.

Tamasha James completed their Bachelor of Arts (BA) degree in Spanish, Secondary Education from Baker University in 1994. Tamasha then went on to pursue a Master of Education (MEd) degree in Educational Leadership and Administration, General from Grand Valley State University from 1998 to 2001. In January 2017, they obtained a School Administrator Certificate from the Michigan Department of Education.
