Marc Jessel

Marc Jessel is a seasoned professional with extensive experience in leadership and management across various sectors, including sustainability, education, and social development. Currently serving as Chief System Integrity Officer at the Forest Stewardship Council™ since March 2021, Marc oversees global supply chain integrity and dispute management programs. Prior to this role, Marc spent four years at SGS as Senior Business Development Director, focusing on sustainability services. A long tenure at the British Council included multiple country director positions across Iraq, the UAE, Jordan, and Malawi, where Marc managed large-scale educational and cultural programs. Earlier roles involved project management in human resources development for the European Commission in Uzbekistan and Turkmenistan, and technical assistance for higher education initiatives at the European Training Foundation. Marc holds a Master of Science in Social Policy and Planning in Developing Countries from The London School of Economics and a Bachelor of Science in Russian and European Studies from the University of Surrey.
