Boris Ochoa-Tocachi

Boris Ochoa-Tocachi is the Chief Executive Officer of ATUK Strategic Consultancy, where innovative solutions are developed for environmental and social challenges using scientific evidence. As a Hydrological Advisor for the Forest Trends Association, contributions focus on natural infrastructure investments and disaster risk management. Boris holds extensive research experience from Imperial College London, where investigations included integrating indigenous knowledge with hydrological engineering for water security, alongside a focus on participatory hydrological monitoring in Andean ecosystems. Education includes a Ph.D. in Hydrology/Civil Engineering and a Master’s in Hydrology and Water Resources Management from Imperial College London, complemented by a civil engineering degree from Universidad de Cuenca.
