Andrew Jones

Andrew Jones is an experienced leader in environmental management and policy development, currently serving as Chair of the Forestry and Woodlands Advisory Committees Urban Network and Chair of the London Forestry and Woodlands Advisory Committee at the Forestry Commission since November 2021. Previously, Andrew held various senior roles at the Greater London Authority from November 2006 to June 2022, including Head of Green Infrastructure, where strategic initiatives related to the London Environment Strategy were implemented, and Environment Programme Delivery Manager, responsible for urban renewal projects. Earlier experience includes serving as Head of Natural Environment, Coasts and Countryside Partnerships at Kent County Council, focusing on nature conservation and securing funding for environmental projects. Andrew holds an M.Sc in Ecology from Bangor University.
