President Director of Indonesia Operations at Forever Oceans

Thor Sutan Assin is the President Director of Indonesia Operations, responsible for building the organization and constructing the onshore hatchery and offshore cages facilities to produce premium fish in Manado, North Sulawesi, Indonesia. Thor offers 30+ years of leadership in various positions from Executive Leader, Director, President Director and COO from the major oil and gas company of ExxonMobil and Samudra Indonesia Ltd.

At ExxonMobil (25 years) he tested the 1st exploration well in the giant Khuff-gas field offshore Qatar, then was in charge of largest LNG gas field operations producing 3,200 Million cu-ft/day gas and 120,000 bbls/day condensate in Arun, Indonesia, then relocated to Aberdeen, Scotland, to be in charge of supplying 25% of gas requirement to the UK from the offshore Beryl platforms in Northern North Sea, and later in charge of constructing of a USD 2.2 Billion oil producing facilities in Cepu, Java, Indonesia.

At Samudra Energy Ltd (SEL) for 7 years, he was in charge of managing exploration, development and production of 8 (eight) concessions, organization restructures, and involved in data room and IPO preparation for SEL. Thor was also the Chairman of the Safety Health Environment & Security (SHES), a certified Lead for Regional Asia Pacific Emergency Response Team at ExxonMobil, and has extensive experience in managing Government and Public affairs in Indonesia. Thor holds a BSc in Petroleum Engineering from Colorado School of Mines, and MBA from Indonesian Management Institute (IPMI).
