Decker Bristow is an experienced software engineer and educator with a Bachelor of Science in Computer Science from the University of Virginia, expected May 2024. Currently, Decker serves on the Engineering Team at Forge, focusing on maintaining the company's React website and automating the creation of company profiles, saving over 100 hours of manual labor annually. Decker also provides tech consulting for local businesses and has enhanced a mentor-mentee matching algorithm for a college application mentoring website. As a Teaching Assistant for The Global Teaching Project, Decker teaches AP Computer Science Principles to underserved students in Mississippi. Previous experience includes a role as a Software Engineer at Capital One, where Decker developed full-stack projects and demonstrated strong presentation skills. Decker began at Forge as a Program Coordinator, creating materials and assisting in a web development course.
