Eliot Joya is a scientist with a solid background in microbiology and extensive research experience. Currently serving as a Scientist I and previously as a Senior Associate Scientist at Forge Biologics since May 2022, Eliot has contributed to various projects in the biotechnology field. Prior experience includes roles as a Teaching Assistant and Graduate Research Assistant at the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign, where investigations focused on phosphate homeostasis and Staphylococcus aureus pathogenesis. Eliot also worked as a Manufacturing Assistant at Adello Biologics, LLC, overseeing upstream and downstream production operations. Earlier research experience includes serving as a Research Technician with the University of Chicago iGEM Team, where work involved enhancing transgenic tyrosine production in E. coli. Eliot holds a Master's degree in Microbiology from the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign and two Bachelor of Arts degrees in Biology with a specialization in Microbiology from the University of Chicago.
