Alexander Flegler

Art Director at Forgotten Empires

Alexander Flegler has a wide range of experience in the gaming industry. Alexander began their career as a Level Designer at Mythological World Designers from 2003 to 2007. Alexander then worked as a Lead Designer at Reverie World Studios from 2006 to 2010, leading the development of the MMORTS game "Kingdom Wars" and overseeing its retail and Steam releases. From 2006 to 2010, they also served as the Project Leader and Lead Game Designer for Napoleonic Era, where they established and led an international team for the production of a large-scale modification. At Related Designs Software GmbH, from 2010 to 2011, Alexander worked as a Game Design Trainee on the city-building game "Anno 2070," designing numerous quests. Alexander then joined Microsoft as a Volunteer Moderator for the Age of Empires community from 2012 to 2016. In 2019, Alexander became an Indie Developer at Elaborate Games. Currently, they are working at Forgotten Empires as an Art Director, a role they have held since 2014. Additionally, they have freelanced as an Art Director for the same company since 2014.

Alexander Flegler completed their education with a state examination degree in Mathematics, History, and Educational Theory from The Martin Luther University of Halle-Wittenberg. Alexander attended this university from 2011 to 2016. Prior to that, Alexander obtained their Abitur from Dietrich-Bonhoeffer Gymnasium, where they studied English, Latin, History, and Informatics. Alexander attended this school from 1997 to 2010.
