Jeff Poirier

Jeff Poirier is a Principal Research Scientist at Form Energy, Inc., with a rich background in battery technology and electrochemistry. Previous roles include Cell Technologist at Motorola Solutions, focusing on developing innovative cell chemistries and designs, and a Researcher at Borregaard, specializing in battery materials and organic expander synthesis. Jeff served as VP of Product Development at ZAF Energy Systems Inc., advancing membrane-based rechargeable zinc air technology. Additionally, extensive experience was gained during a long tenure at Rayovac, where roles included DVP of Zinc Air Battery Technology and Sr. Director Zinc Air Technology, establishing global technical roadmaps and leading product development initiatives. Earlier experience at Duracell involved engineering lithium-ion cells and enhancing performance reliability. Jeff holds a PhD in Materials Science & Engineering from the University of Virginia, an MS in Chemical Engineering from the University of Rhode Island, and a BS in Chemical Engineering from the University of Massachusetts Lowell.
