Jenny Shang

Jenny Shang's work experience starts with their most recent role as an Analytics Lead at Forma AI, where they began in April 2022. Prior to that, they worked as a Senior Analytics Engineer at Forma AI from October 2021 to March 2022, and as an Analytics Engineer from October 2020 to September 2021.

Before joining Forma AI, Jenny collaborated with Fondo Atlas on a school project in Fall 2019 and subsequently worked as a summer intern from June to September 2020. During their time at Fondo Atlas, they built an end-to-end predictive model for future price changes in the real estate market, achieving over 70% accuracy using Random Forest and ARIMA models.

In 2020, Jenny also gained experience as a Summer Analyst at Analysis Group and held various roles at CPP Investment Board from 2015 to 2019, including Senior Analyst in Investment Operations for Private Investments and Rotational Analyst in Finance & Operations.

Additionally, Jenny worked as a Teaching Assistant at the University of Toronto - Rotman Commerce from January 2014 to April 2019, as a Senior Associate in Industrial and Manufacturing at Hart House Investment Fund from August 2013 to April 2015, and as an Analyst in Banking Operations at BMO Financial Group from May 2014 to December 2014.

Before that, they served as a Supervisor at Passmore Badminton Club from July 2013 to September 2013, and as a member of the adVenture Project team at Enactus from September 2012 to April 2013.

Jenny Shang is an individual with a strong educational background in the field of business analytics and finance. Jenny obtained a Master of Science (MS) degree in Business Analytics from the University of Southern California in 2020. Prior to their master's degree, Jenny completed their undergraduate studies at the University of Toronto - Rotman School of Management, graduating with a Bachelor of Commerce (BCom) degree in Finance in 2015.

In addition to their formal education, Jenny has also acquired several certifications to further enhance their skills and knowledge in data analysis and finance. In 2019, they completed the Tableau Essential Training course offered by LinkedIn. Jenny also obtained certifications in Analyzing Business Data in SQL, Intermediate SQL, and pandas Foundations from DataCamp in the same year. Furthermore, Jenny successfully passed the CFA Level III Exam administered by the CFA Institute in 2017, showcasing their expertise in the field of finance.
