Michael Galam

Michael Galam has extensive work experience in the field of user experience design, with a focus on visual and motion UX. Michael is currently working as a Senior Visual UX Designer at Formant since January 2023. Prior to this, they served as the Director of User Experience at OasisWorks, Inc. from November 2020 to November 2022. Additionally, they held roles as a Principal UX Designer and Principal UX Designer (Contract) at OasisWorks, Inc. from June 2019 to November 2020 and February 2019 to May 2019 respectively.

Before joining OasisWorks, Inc., Michael worked as the Principal/Visual & Motion UX/Product Design at GALAM arts - galam.com for over two decades, from September 1997 to May 2019. Prior to this, they were a Visual/Motion UX Designer at Punchcut from March 2010 to July 2018. Michael also worked as a Visual UX Designer at Zazzle from October 2015 to December 2016, a Motion UX Designer at Method from September 2012 to November 2012, and an Art Director/Flash Developer at Draftfcb from April 2008 to November 2009.

Michael began their career as a Flash Developer at Wunderman in February 2007, followed by roles as a Flash Designer/Developer at R/GA from June 2006 to October 2006, and as an Interactive Art Director at Cheil Communications America/CCA from May 2005 to May 2006. With a diverse skill set and experience spanning over two decades, Michael Galam has honed their expertise in visual and motion UX design.

Michael Galam attended San Francisco State University, where they enrolled in the SFSU Multimedia Studies Program. Michael also studied Business Administration with a focus on International Business at San Francisco State University's Lam Family College of Business, earning a Bachelor of Science degree in the field. Additionally, they completed the UC Berkeley Graphic Design Program at the University of California, Berkeley. Michael's education history also includes an unspecified period of time at the School of Visual Arts.
