Susanne Karlsson

Susanne Karlsson currently serves as Biträdande avdelningschef and Senior rådgivare at Formas, a research council focused on sustainable development, since March 2022. Prior to this role, Susanne held various positions at the Swedish Energy Agency from February 2012 to February 2022, including Head of Unit for both the Sustainable Power Group and the Sustainable Bioenergy Group, as well as Programme Manager for the Renewable Electricity Group. Previous experience includes research at EPFL from August 2010 to July 2011 and a PhD candidacy at Uppsala University from 2005 to 2010. Susanne also served as Chairman of Lunds Naturvetarkår LUNA from 2002 to 2003. Academic credentials include a PhD in Chemical Physics from Uppsala University and a Master of Science in Chemistry from Lund University.
