Guy Whitmore has had an impressive career in the gaming industry. Guy is currently the Studio Head of Formosa Interactive Seattle, where they oversee the growth and culture of the studio. Previously, they worked as the Studio Audio Director at PopCap Games, where they led a team of talented individuals to create award-winning audio experiences for games like Plants vs Zombies and Bejeweled. Prior to that, they served as the Director of Audio at Microsoft Game Studios, where they managed major franchises including Fable and Halo. Guy has also been a speaker at industry conferences such as Develop Conference and Casual Connect. Earlier in their career, they worked as a composer and Audio Director at Monolith Productions and Sierra Online, respectively. Overall, Guy Whitmore has a wealth of experience and expertise in game audio and has contributed to numerous successful projects throughout their career.
Guy Whitmore completed their Bachelor of Arts and Bachelor of Music degrees in Music Performance and Guitar Performance, respectively, at Northwestern University from 1985 to 1989. Later, they pursued a Masters degree in Music Composition and Performance at Southern Methodist University between 1990 and 1993.
