Congzhi Zhu has a strong background in research and development, with a focus on materials science and organic electronic devices. Starting in 2013, Zhu worked as a Graduate Student at Texas A&M University, where they designed and synthesized novel organic functional materials for use in electronic devices. They also improved the synthesis and solubility of polymeric materials for use as additives in epoxy films. At the University of California, Los Angeles, Zhu worked as a Postdoctoral Research Fellow, where they developed porous polymeric networks for lithium batteries and collaborated with material scientists on increasing the conductivity of polymers. They then moved on to a Postdoctoral Researcher position at The University of Texas at Austin, furthering their research in materials science. Currently, Zhu is employed as a Research Scientist at Formosa Plastics Corporation, U.S.A., where they continue to contribute to the field of materials science.
Congzhi Zhu attended Nanjing University from 2009 to 2013. The degree and field of study at Nanjing University are unknown. Afterwards, they pursued a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) at Texas A&M University from 2013 to 2019. Congzhi'sareas of focus during their PhD program were Organic Chemistry, Polymer Chemistry, and Material Science.
