Mahmood Jawaid

Mahmood Jawaid is a seasoned chemical engineering professional with extensive experience in process safety management and process improvement across multiple leading organizations. Currently serving as Chief PSM Specialist I at Formosa Plastics Corporation since April 2022, Mahmood facilitates the implementation of Process Safety Management programs, providing expert technical and regulatory support for compliance activities. Previously, Mahmood held positions as Lead Process Engineer at Arkema, focusing on developing Process Safety Documents and managing process safety for Organic Peroxides. Prior roles also include Senior Process Improvement Engineer at The Dow Chemical Company, responsible for project management and compliance projects, and Staff Process Engineer at Celanese Chemicals, where responsibilities included process design and safety analysis. Mahmood holds both Bachelor and Master of Science degrees in Chemical Engineering from the University at Buffalo.
