Robert Arechederra

Robert Arechederra, Ph.D. has a diverse work experience spanning various roles and companies. Robert is currently working as a Senior Product Development Engineer at Formosa Plastics Corporation, U.S.A. since August 2022. Prior to this, they worked as a Consultant in Thermoplastics & Specialty Chemicals from July 2021 to August 2022.

From 2017 to 2021, Robert held multiple roles at BYK Additives & Instruments, including Global Product Development Manager in Thermoplastic Specialty Chemicals and Marketing and New Business Development Manager. Robert'sresponsibilities included managing global product development projects and teams, growing sales with custom solutions, and interacting with various departments such as sales, manufacturing, R&D, and finance.

Before that, Robert spent several years at PolyAd Services, working as a Technology Manager and Staff Scientist. Robert's earlier work experience includes a role as a Research Professor at Saint Louis University, where they worked on DARPA projects involving various fields such as nanomaterials, polymers, composites, fuel cell chemistry, biotechnology, electronic design, and materials engineering. Robert also worked as a Doctoral Student in Chemistry, focusing on enzyme cascades for synthetic metabolic pathways and the development of enzyme catalyzed batteries and fuel cells.

Robert'scareer began as a Scientist Intern at NatureWorks LLC, where they developed and synthesized poly(lactic acid) biodegradable polymer nanocomposites for improved thermal stability, barrier properties, and mechanical strength.

Robert Arechederra Ph.D. received their Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Chemistry from Missouri Baptist University. Robert then went on to complete a Master's degree (Research) in Chemistry at Saint Louis University from 2005 to 2007. Following this, Robert pursued a Ph.D. at Saint Louis University from 2007 to 2009, specializing in Biofuel Cells, Biobatteries, and Synthetic Metabolic Enzyme Pathways. After obtaining their Ph.D., they continued at Saint Louis University for a Postdoc position in Biochemistry and Electrochemistry from 2009 to 2010. In addition to their educational background, Robert has also obtained a certification in SPIN Selling 2.0 from Huthwaite International.
