Severus Lin (Chih-Yu)

Severus (Chih-Yu) Lin has a diverse range of work experience in various roles and companies. In 2020, at Formosa Plastics Corporation, U.S.A., they worked as a System Analyst, where they designed automatic systems and set up environments to streamline AI deployment using AWS MLOps for warehouses. Severus (Chih-Yu) also renovated and developed internal systems using C#, .NET with Telerik, and Microsoft SQL Server.

In 2019, at Verizon, Severus served as a Software Engineer Capstone Fellow, where they developed a Computer Vision Ingestion Pipeline for Real-Time Object Recognition on a 5G network. Severus (Chih-Yu) built the mobile application using Flask, MongoDB, React.js, and webRTC.

Prior to that, in 2019, Severus was a Data Center Technician Intern at Google, where they diagnosed network and hardware errors to maintain Google Services in Hardware Operations. Severus (Chih-Yu) improved work efficiency by designing and developing automated tools for error detection.

In 2018, at Titansoft Pte Ltd, Severus worked as a Software Engineer Intern. Severus (Chih-Yu) expanded features for internal systems using the MVC model and reduced system maintenance time by restructuring the system, resulting in the removal of more than 20,000 lines of code.

Severus also gained experience as a Network Administrator at National Chung Cheng University from 2015 to 2017. In this role, they excelled in network troubleshooting, security maintenance, and operations. Severus (Chih-Yu) was responsible for network issue consultation, routers maintenance, and monthly data refreshing.

Additionally, Severus worked as an Adjunct Assistant at the National Chung Cheng University Office of Research and Development from 2016 to 2017, and as a Research Student at the Center for e-Manufacturing and e-Commerce in Chung Cheng University from 2015 to 2016.

Severus (Chih-Yu) Lin completed their Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA) degree in Information Management from National Chung Cheng University during the years 2013 to 2017. Following this, they pursued a Master of Science (MS) degree in Computer Science from the New Jersey Institute of Technology, where they studied from 2018 to 2020.
