Senior Software Engineer at ForMotiv

Patrick Ryan has a diverse work experience spanning over several companies and roles. Patrick started their career in 1987 at Motorola as a Software Engineer. From there, they worked at Expersoft as a "Whatever it takes" role from 1996 to 1998. Patrick then joined UNext as the Director of Software Development from 2000 to 2005. Patrick Ryan moved on to Centerpost as the VP of Engineering in 2005 for a year, and then joined Redpoint Technologies as the Vice President from 2009 to 2011. During that time, they also held the role of Principal Software Architect. Patrick then joined Applied Pathways LLC as the Vice President of Software Solutions from 2011 to 2017. Following that, Patrick Ryan worked at SPR where they held various roles, including Executive Vice President, Emerging Technologies and Chief Architect, from 2017 to 2022. Most recently, they worked at Blue Lobster Software Consulting as a Principal starting in 2022 and currently works at ForMotiv as a Senior Software Engineer starting in May 2023.

Patrick Ryan has a master's degree in Computer Science, which they obtained from the Illinois Institute of Technology from 1990 to 1995. Prior to that, they completed their Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering from the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign, which they pursued from 1984 to 1987.

In terms of additional certifications, Patrick Ryan has completed several courses and programs. Patrick obtained the certification for "Build Image Quality Inspection using AWS Lookout for Vision" from Coursera in December 2021. In May 2020, they completed the certifications for "Convolutional Neural Networks," "Deep Learning Specialization," and "Sequence Models" from Coursera. In April 2020, they obtained the certifications for "Improving Deep Neural Networks: Hyperparameter tuning, Regularization and Optimization," "Neural Networks and Deep Learning," and "Structuring Machine Learning Projects" from Coursera as well. Additionally, in February 2018, they completed the certification for "Principles of Machine Learning" from edX, and in December 2017, they finished the "Intro to Python for Data Science Course" from DataCamp.
