Lucas Brown

Director of Analytics at FORM

Lucas Brown has a wealth of experience in the engineering and analytics fields. Lucas began their career in 2003 as a Telecommunications Engineer (Implementation Manager Radio Transport, IP Core & Data) at Northwestel. During this time, they were responsible for network engineering, radio system engineering, business development, project management, and sales. In 2007, they moved to North Rock Communications as a Radio Engineer, where they were responsible for the design and implementation of a WiMax radio access network serving Bermuda. This position also required hands-on work such as climbing towers, installing equipment, running cables, and programming network equipment. In 2009, they joined TELUS as a Manager AI/ML - Advanced Analytics. During this time, they leveraged machine learning algorithms to do predictive analytics and improved existing wireless capacity models and reduced CAPEX budget requirements. Lucas also held the role of Engineering Manager, where they were selected to lead several engineering teams. In 2021, they joined FORM as the Director Of Analytics.

Lucas Brown has a comprehensive education history. Lucas obtained a B.Sc. EE from the University of Alberta in Electronics. Lucas then obtained a Canadian Securities Course (CSC) from the Canadian Securities Institute in 2007. In 2008, they obtained a Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA) from Cisco. Lucas then pursued a Master's in Management of AI (MMAI) from the Smith School of Business at Queen's University from 2019 to 2020. In July 2021, they obtained an AWS Certified Cloud Practitioner from Amazon Web Services (AWS).
