Emma Penny

Emma Penny currently serves as the Engineering Manager - Audio at Formula 1, a position held since April 2023. Prior to this role, Emma was the Sound Manager at Warner Bros. Discovery, leading the audio department at the London Technical Hub. Emma's extensive background includes significant positions at Sky, where responsibilities ranged from Senior Sound Supervisor to overseeing major sports contracts and productions, and at Arena Television Limited, ensuring the successful operation of sound rigs for various live broadcasts. Emma began a career in sound mixing at ITN and further developed skills at Al Jazeera English and University Radio Nottingham, contributing to award-winning productions. Emma holds an MA in Theatre Studies and a BA in English Studies from the University of Nottingham.
