Tomomi Umetsu

Tomomi Umetsu has a diverse work experience spanning over several industries and roles. Tomomi started their career as an International Sales representative at Sodick, Inc. from April 1988 to March 1993. Following this, they joined Kohsei Co., Ltd. as a Trader involved in worldwide trading of rare metals such as Cobalt, Molybdenum, Tungsten, and more from April 1993 to April 2001.

From May 2001 to July 2005, Tomomi worked at Mediken Inc. as the Manager of Sales and Marketing, where they handled business development for ProteomeTech in the Bay Area and served as a sales representative for various high-resolution surface reflectance analyzers and other semiconductor industry apparatuses.

In 2005, they ventured into entrepreneurship and became the Owner and President of ProteoGenesys, Inc. Here, they developed proprietary protein refolding technology and provided ORF/cDNA clones, microRNA, shRNA, recombinant lentivirus, qPCR primers, and other products to drug discovery research laboratories in Japan.

Tomomi'smost recent role was as a Japan Sales Representative at Formulatrix, starting in January 2014. Further details about this role are not provided.

Tomomi Umetsu completed a Master of Arts degree in Economics with a focus on Business Management, Marketing, Cross-border Trading, and Sustainable Economic Growth from Komazawa University. Prior to this, Umetsu attended Morioka Daiichi High School from 1982 to 1985, where they completed their high school education.
