David Dartford, PE

Director of Pressure Control Product Development at Foro Energy

David Dartford, PE has a wealth of experience in engineering and mechanics. David began their career in 1982 as a 67Y Attack Helicopter Mechanic in the US Army. After leaving the Army in 1985, they worked as an Airframe and Powerplant Mechanic at West Florida Helicopters. In 1992, they moved to Hospital Air Transport, where they worked as an Airframe and Powerplant Mechanic and was responsible for inspections and overhauls of air-ambulance helicopters. In 1993, they worked as a Production Engineer for Western Honeycomb, where they designed tooling, routers, and quality for a small aerospace company. David also worked as a Project Engineer for Victoria Machine Works in the same year. In 1996, they joined National Oilwell Varco as a Product Line Manager. In 2011, they were appointed President of Bluewater Solutions, Inc. and in 2012, they became the Director of Engineering R&D at Noble Drilling. David currently holds the position of Director of Pressure Control Product Development at Foro Energy, where they have been since 2014.

David Dartford, PE has a diverse education history. David began their studies in 1979 at Kent School and then moved on to National Aviation Academy, where they earned their FAA A&P License in 1986. From 1987 to 1992, they attended Dartmouth College, where they earned a BE in Mechanical Engineering. Finally, from 1992 to 1993, they studied Fluid Dynamics and Flight Control Systems at the University of Washington.
