Bárður Sandberg Joensen

Bárður Sandberg Joensen has a range of work experience in different companies and roles. Bárður Sandberg started their career at Venus VA51 - Fossá P/f as a Deckhand from August 1999 to February 2000. Then, they joined Atlantic Airways in January 2004 as a Technical Records & Planning specialist until December 2008. During their time at Atlantic Airways, they also took on the role of Information Technology Specialist from December 2008 to October 2020. In April 2015, they briefly worked as a Developer at Lundin Software. Currently, they are employed as a Technology Specialist at Føroya Tele samtakið (Faroese Telecom) since October 2020.

Bárður Sandberg Joensen has a diverse educational background in the field of Information Technology. Bárður Sandberg first attended HHX - Føroya Handilsskúli Tórshavn from 2000 to 2003, where they earned a degree in HHX, specializing in Hægri Handilsskúla. Following this, from 2006 to 2008, they pursued an AP Graduate in Computer Science at Handilsskálin Tórshavn, further enhancing their skills in the field.

In terms of higher education, Bárður pursued a Master's Degree in Information Technology at the University of Liverpool from 2016 to 2019, enabling him to deepen their understanding and expertise in their chosen field.

On top of their formal education, Bárður has obtained several certifications from Microsoft. In 2012, they became a Microsoft Certified Technology Specialist, followed by achieving the Microsoft Certified Professional certification in 2014. Lastly, in 2016, they obtained the Microsoft Certified Solutions Associate certification from the institution. These certifications demonstrate their commitment to staying updated on the latest technologies and industry standards.
