William Joensen

William Joensen has a diverse work experience spanning from 2006 to the present. William currently holds the position of Chief Financial Officer at Føroya Tele (Faroese Telecom) since April 2022. Prior to this role, they served as a Financial Analyst & Controller at the same company from March 2015 to March 2022. In 2014, William worked as a Temporary Accountant at SKAT for a period of four months. William gained experience as a Student Assistant at Kulturministeriet from January 2012 to August 2014 and at Kunststyrelsen from February 2011 to December 2011. Starting in September 2006 and lasting until January 2011, they worked as a Student Assistant in the Controlling department of Kulturministeriets Koncerncenter.

William Joensen attended EUC-Nord, Hjørring from 2000 to 2003, where they obtained a Higher Technical Examination (HTX) degree. William then enrolled at Tekniski Skúlin í Klaksvík from 2003 to 2004, and completed a Basic Technical Exam in Mechanical Engineering. Afterwards, they attended Copenhagen Business School from 2006 to 2009, earning a Bachelor's degree in Economics and Business Administration. Lastly, they returned to Copenhagen Business School from 2009 to 2014, where they obtained a Master's degree in Economics and Business Administration, with a specialization in Accounting, Strategy & Control.
