Doug Chapin is a seasoned professional in election administration with extensive experience across various roles. Currently serving as a Senior Elections Fellow at Fors Marsh since March 2022, Doug previously held the position of Director of Election Research at Fors Marsh Group from August 2018 to March 2022. With a significant academic background as the Director and Adjunct Professor for the Election Academy at the Humphrey School of Public Affairs, Doug developed the nation’s first online election administration program and engaged in advising the national community on election administration improvements. Doug's consulting experience spans across public, private, and non-profit sectors as the sole proprietor from 2011 to 2018, and as the Founding Director of Future of California Elections. Previous leadership roles include Director of Election Initiatives at The Pew Charitable Trusts and Director at electionline.org. Educationally, Doug holds a JD from Georgetown University Law Center, a Master of Public Administration from Harvard Kennedy School, and an AB in Politics/Russian Studies from Princeton University.
