Dr. Christoph Mahnke

Dr. Christoph Mahnke is a scientific researcher specializing in optical measurement techniques and data analysis for airborne measurements of cloud and aerosol microphysical parameters in the upper troposphere and lower stratosphere. Currently serving as a postdoctoral researcher at Forschungszentrum Jülich since June 2020, Dr. Mahnke previously held similar positions at Max-Planck-Institut für Chemie from May 2016 to June 2020 and was a doctoral researcher at Johannes Gutenberg-Universität Mainz from May 2012 to May 2016, focusing on aerosol and cloud physics in collaboration with leading institutions. Dr. Mahnke obtained a Doctorate in Atmospheric Physics and Meteorology in 2018 and a Diplom in Meteorology in 2014, both from Johannes Gutenberg University Mainz. Early career experience includes project work in IT-RISK at Commerzbank AG during a student assistant role from July 2007 to October 2010.
