Hanne Marit Bjørk has a diverse work experience in research, strategy, and management roles. Hanne Marit started their career in 1997 as a Consultant Project Risk Management at Det Norske Veritas. Hanne Marit then worked as a Senior Scientist at Forsvarets forskningsinstitutt - FFI from 2001 to 2003 and as a Senior Scientist at Defence Systems and Technology Laboratory in the UK in 2004. From 2005 to 2009, they served as a Senior Advisor at Forsvarets forskningsinstitutt - FFI, focusing on strategy development, change management, and leadership development. Hanne Marit then took on the role of Head of Strategy and Planning from 2009 to 2012. Hanne Marit joined Statkraft in 2012 as Vice President Corporate R&D, where they were involved in renewable energy R&D and international research collaboration. Hanne Marit Bjørk returned to Forsvarets forskningsinstitutt - FFI in 2017, initially as the Head of Defence Industrial Development Group and later as the Research Director.
Hanne Marit Bjørk completed their MSc in Industrial Mathematics from the Norwegian University of Science and Technology (NTNU) from 1991 to 1995. In 2004 to 2005, they pursued an MSc in Management Science at the University of Southampton. Hanne Marit also obtained a Master's degree in Management Science from the same university during the same period.
