Jakob Gakkestad

Jakob Gakkestad is a senior scientist at FFI since June 2003, with extensive experience in the field of ASIC design and hardware management. Prior experience includes serving as a research scholar at the Georgia Institute of Technology from 2012 to 2013, and as a senior ASIC designer at Chipcon for a brief period in early 2003, which is now known as Texas Instruments Norway. From 1997 to 2002, Jakob held various positions at Tandberg Data ASA, culminating as the manager of the hardware department. Jakob's career began at SINTEF, where a role as a scientist focused on ASIC design lasted from 1985 to 1997. Education was also obtained from the Georgia Institute of Technology during the period of 2012 to 2013.
