Marlina Kinnersley completed their education starting in 2005 at the British Columbia Institute of Technology, where they earned a Post-Graduate Diploma in Marketing Management, which they completed in 2007. Marlina then pursued further education at Thompson Rivers University from 2010 to 2012, earning a Bachelor of Commerce (BCom) degree with a focus on Marketing. Additionally, they obtained several certifications related to diversity, inclusion, and business strategy from LinkedIn, including "Diversity, Inclusion, and Belonging for All" in August 2020, "Diversity, Inclusion, and Belonging" in February 2019, and "Jeff Weiner on Establishing a Culture and a Plan for Scaling" in February 2019.
