John Patton

John joined Forté Ventures in 2019 as an Operating Partner and is focused on portfolio operations, fund operations, investor relations and relationship development with corporate venture capital partners.

Prior to joining Forté Ventures, John worked for Chairman Partners, an Atlanta-based firm providing advisory and business planning services to early stage technology companies. John has also served in strategic, operational and financial leadership roles for high-growth venture capital and private equity backed companies; roles included Chief Operating Officer, Chief Financial Officer and Vice President of Business Development. Additionally, John served as a Principal with GMG Capital Partners, a technology focused venture capital firm, where he conducted deal sourcing, due diligence, and operational oversight of portfolio companies and supported fundraising efforts.

John earned a Master of Business Administration (MBA) from the Georgia Institute of Technology and a Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering from Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute.
